A New Look

On a fresh note and after a little tinkering with my blog.

I have decided to turn On Comments again.
So hopefully
I can look forward to hearing from you again.

So for something a little different.

I have done with collecting jug's, old books, cutlery etc.

I have satisfied that yearning, I think!

So when asked what I wanted for my birthday last September, I knew exactly what I wanted.

Troll Bead's, which started in Denmark during the Seventies.

Trollbeads is unique jewellery. Each bead has its own little history, taking its inspiration from mythology, astrology, fairy tales, fauna, flora, cultural diversity, and last but certainly not least, in the familiar things of everyday living.

Something that I can collect, swap around, something with meaning.

So I asked all of my family and friends to get me something for a Troll Bracelet.

I started off collecting Pink Beads with Pearls and Silver.

I have not shown the Pink collection today.

But I loved the Pearls with the Silver so much I filled a bracelet with them and then started collecting Pinks with Reds.

There are some really pretty glass beads, some semi precious.

But, be warned they are very addictive.

This one below is my latest collection...Sludgy Greens, pale Greens and Browns.

This one is bright Blues, Greens and Turquoise.

There is even a little Silver Charm called Button's!

The very bright Green is called Earth.

Another called Black Marble which has lots of twinkle in black, blue and green.

I have Forget-me-not, The Ocean...got that one when I went on the Caribbean Cruise.
A Lucky Dragon ....

I could go on...

So there you are.

Something to put on your list if you like them as much as I do.

I wear mine always and spend a lot of time just turning the bracelet and admiring them.

Lucky Charms.

I hope they work.
Have a lovely weekend all.

Carol

Hi Carol, I am glad you've turned your comments on. I've wanted to leave a comment recently but was unable to.

Your home is beautiful and I chuckled when I saw Mr N sprawled on the sofa watching telly. I must say If I had a lovely Aga I'd be in the kitchen too! (I'm working on it, it's the running costs that put us off though)

Lastly, I'm just about to send you an email ;)

Glad you've turned your comments on again. Really wanted to comment about how much I love your kitchen. I can understand why you turned them off though.I've been debating whether to turn mine off lately as I just don't have that much time at the moment for commenting on everyone elses and it makes me feel a bit guilty. Love the troll beads. I've never heard of them before so might have to do a bit more research for myself.

Great beads - I had heard of them but didn't know what they were. It's also a very small thing to collect, which has to be good. Please don't feel you have to reply! I think we comment because we liked your post, not because we demand a reply!

See how much you were missed Carol...!
I am getting so fussy about jewellery in my old age and just wear the two silver bracelets that P gave me when we got back together again ..I never take them off..only when I had to go in to hospital and I was forced to.
I do love the troll beads and remember the ones you wore on a necklace when you came to Bath.
I must remember to drop hints to family when it comes to my birthday...

Glad you are back 100%..

With love

Hi, I have read your blog for some time now and I must say it is one of my very favourites! I am so pleased you are not calling it a day - yet! I love the bracelets you have shown today, they are very similar in design and sentiment to a range called Pandora, you may have heard of them before. They too are very 'want one, want one!'
Have a lovely weekend

Hi Carol, I love the Troll beads. It's quite spooky really, because ealier today I was watching a TV programme and there was one of those Troll Dolls in one of rooms from the 1960's. Then later on this afternoon, I was looking for a missing ring in all my little trinket boxes and there I found a Troll keyring that my youngest son won years ago in an Amusement Arcade. D'yer think they're after me? SueX

So pleased we can have contact again. I have a friend who is also a devotee of these troll beads and, as you say, finds them addictive. Friends and family always know what to buy her for birthdays though. Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

a blog without comments is a bit like french fries without mayonaise. Not everybody likes the combination but to me french fries are not complete without! Love the troll beads. Wishing you a very nice Sunday!

I don't know Troll beads, but am now curious.
Lovely posts - don't sweat the blogging. Forget the staging and just chat. That works best, I think.

Well I held back from emailing you as I thought it would be the same as commenting and didnt want you to feel you had to email back so I'm sooooo pleased you put your comments back on, your piccies lately deserve to be in a house magazine, especially the ones of your kitchen and dining area, why not send a magazine an email, I'm sure they would jump to have your house!!
Now those troll beads look beautiful, I imagine they are addictive, especially since you can change them around!
Take care, please shoe more of your gorgeous house and garden pics.........Claire xx
