Autumn Days

I wake up some mornings, look around at the mess which no matter how many times I tidy away, just keeps coming back and I think...yuk! where shall I start?
I can 'do' lots in the mornings,
but come the afternoon I just want to sit.
Sit on the sofa and gaze dreamily out at the dusky sky.
A little peace before the evening dinner preparations start.

This is a time of year when I use tea lights by the hundreds.

Mercury votive, my favourite of the moment, they give a cosy glow to the room and to me everything seems so much better! I think!

Life is busy, busy, busy.

Endless list making.

It is so very satisfying putting a big tick by jobs that eventually get done!

Like this shelf in the nursery.

Two or three months to get this up on the wall.

At last I can put the little SLEEP hanging that I purchased from Caroline at
Isn't it lovely and so well made.
(At last! My bathroom makeover is well underway....yippee
I think it will be better to show the maker in one hit).
Ah, and my three little men all dressed up and ready for our Halloween Party.

The house decorated with pumpkin tea lights and scary Witches.

Pumpkin soup and hot chilli made.

Here is our pumpkin empty of its flesh and given pride of place on the mantle.

Maybe you can just about see my reflection in the mirror.
I made a great Witch, I do love a spot of dressing up!
All in all the evening celebrations went well with a few little bangs and sparkles.

So it seems another year is drawing to a close.
Christmas is now big on my agenda.
I cannot believe how fast this year is disappearing.
In a flash we will be talking about Spring being in the air!
I hope you have a good week.
Have fun.
Carol

If you have Advent ideas (which I bet you do), please look out for my Pre-Advent series;, which I'm hoping to turn into some kind of bloggin event for December.

Home looks gorgeous and your three little men so cute. My girls are all flown now with bubs of their own, and I enjoy every treasured moment of time with them. I just don't know where the years have flown with my own children, thank goodness for the gift of the grandchildren.
