Simple Living......

Building a home, can be such fun.
Ans as time passes I have realised that it is the Simple Things that matter most.
Enjoying good times with family & friends.
Licking the mixing bowl.
Filling sandwiches to bursting.
Wrapping presents.
And decorating the house for a party.
Blogging was how I found this wonderful Bunting, via Sal and from a shop called Shabby Chick.
Bought for my camper, but also came in very handy for Jude's first birthday party.
Bunting and garden parties.
Simple and very British.

Katie in her kitchen preparing for the Dudes party.
With my help of course.
Old fashioned party food in the kitchen with party bags, teeny weeny sandwiches, jelly and lots of cake!

Jude checking out his new Police Car....

With Love From Nana and Grandad.

Ordered on-line, too simple.

Hmmm, now how do I get this thing to move?

Making and decorating Cup Cakes........
Yummy fun.

Do not touch!
Just look!
For now anyway.
It was fun watching eyes light up.

But look at this....
Katie & I made our very first birthday cake, chocolate sponge and butter cream filling.

Yep, it is Thomas.
Our version.
We were soooo proud of this cake, almost could not bring ourselves to cut it up.

Paul made this little white picket fence to keep Spencer the dog off of the lawn.
I made the Bunting.....
I am a bit of a bunting fan.
Loving a very simple
English Garden.
And at long last.
My Hub has made my simple plate rack for the pewter plates that I bought on my trip to Bath....in January.

It has only had the primer coat, but who cares, I can still have fun playing with my displays.
It will get its full F&B treatment very soon.

And Retail Therapy...
Simple cure for a bad day!
New Hurricane Lantern from M&S £25.00 and very tall candle also from M&S for only £2.00!

Sorry, Hub was not happy when I spotted these....
He did protest....
But I won!!!!
And that was simple too!
I just love them.

Silver Christening Presents.
I love Silver & White displays.

Simply Fun.
Blogging.
And Awards.
This one the Renee Award which I was given by Ingrid of My Day.
Thank you Ingrid.

And another award from Lolo Designs...
Thank you Lolo.
I have many bloggers in mind that I want to pass these two awards onto.
But I am going to say that anyone who visits my blog and loves it enough to leave a comment
can take one or both of these as a thank you from me....
So These
Are For
You....

Good morning Carol
Doing lots of catch up on posts missed. Happy Birthday to sweet Jude! What a lovely birthday party. Your Thomas cake turned out fabulous. My son loved Thomas the Tank when he was little - he'll be celebrating his 20th in a few months :-)

That very first birthday is so special! He's getting bigger all the time. It won't be long until he's tearing around like a maniac in that little car!

Lovely birthday party decorations - bunting isn't something that we see over here. It's so cheery and festive - I'll have to borrow the idea next month when we have a couple of family birthdays.
How quickly the year has gone...happy first birthday little one!

Gosh, lots to read and look at here! Jude is beautiful and what a great cake you made. I like your pewter display. I saw those hurricane lamps on Saturday when I bought 6 of those £2 candles but much as I wanted one I restrained myself.... I may go back though! Love the shoes too.

What a lovely post - the bunting, the babies, the sentiment! You've got everything! The rack for the pewterware is particularly good, too.

What a handsome little man Jude is!

You did a fantastic job with the cake, I remember my boys having a Thomas cake, it seems like it was only the other day, I know where too come now for a Thomas cake for Ben’s seventeenth, I’m sure he would love it. ;0)
Your taste in shoes is as good as your music!!!
