Awards...and

Rambling on about all my troubles....I don't know! Onto the Awards... I have just received three ! one from Louise who I have known via the airways for some time now.

Thank you Louise, you have two wonderful blogs - I enjoy them both very much.
A big thank you also to Deb, who I am new to and I have to say Deb, that I went back through your old posts too...lol...and I did enjoy the journey accompanied by your jolly music.
Gosh I feel a really honoured - number three. Thank you Lesley. I have never met you before and will go and have a good read of your Blog today. Lesley can be found @ notesfrommydays.blogspot.com/ I did have a quick peak. I do love to see room makeovers!
Looking at all of my favorite blogs and the great pictures that go so well with the music, is like have one of best glossy magazines ever. This makes its doubly hard to choose who to pass this award onto. I would like to award the 'I Love Your Blog' award to :-
  1. Saira @prettyshabby.blogspot.com/

  2. Kristina @shabbilyeverafter.blogspot.com/

  3. Mia @ miaslandliv.blogspot.com/

  4. Kelly @ vintagelifestyle.blogspot.com/

  5. Lisa @ periwinklepark.blogspot.com/

  6. Jane @ jane-petticoatlane.blogspot.com/

  7. Donna @ craftyoldthing.blogspot.com/

I am feeling both excited and scared. I have finally decided that I am going to 'try' and sell my little cottage in the Cotswolds. This is not the best of times to be doing this of course. But, I have thought long and hard. I want to be near the sea. It is a hard decision to make as it is such a beautiful cottage, so cosy in Winter. The Cotswolds is a most charming and well looked after part of this country...I will be very very sad to leave it behind, it feels so much like home even though it is only part time. I love the Winter months here, the smell of logs fires everywhere and always lots of twinkling lights.

And so pretty in the Spring. Rolling countryside for miles.

I have viewed so many cottages in Sussex over the weekend. I think we know when we have found something that feels just right......I have been back to a particular cottage 3 times now.....emmm...I really hope I will not regret this move ! if it ever happens. The housing market is in a terrible way, trust me to pick now of all times!
I am sure Guy thinks that he is a cat sometimes. He certainly has the agility of a feline. Funny little boy!

Congrats on those awards Carol, your mantlepiece must be very crowded! Well done they are very well deserved. Thanks too for passing one of them on to me, that was very kind of you. Good luck with the cottage hunting, hope you like having a little home by the sea (and fingers crossed for finding that house that feels just right, I know what you mean about somewhere that feels right, the moment you walk in). Take care

So sorry to hear about the run of bad luck and illnesses you and your loved ones have been experiencing. Sending you all lots of love. Very exciting about the new move - but quite scary too I should think, when the cottage you're selling looks so beautiful! Can't wait to hear more!

The country cottage looks beautiful and I am sure that you will have no problem getting a buyer. Are you selling the house that you live in too? At least you will have the camper van to 'live' in should you find yourself without a roof!!!

Carol, Thank you SO much...How excited am I? Now I just have to work out how the blinkin'eck I put it on the blog!!! Having only been 'blogging' for 2 weeks I haven't the foggiest what I'm doing..I still gasp in amazement everytime I manage to publish a post! My technical skills are as good as my Blancmange making.
I'm thrilled to have something pretty to put down the side now.
You've made my day. Thank you.

Congratulations on receiving 3 awards! What an honour! and thank you so much for giving one to me. I think I only ever received one award a LONG time ago, so I feel quite special now having received this one. with regards to the cottage, I can only imagine the concern about selling something that has become a part of your life but I must admit that if I could be anywhere, it would be somewhere by the sea. I do understand that longing. I hope the cottage sells well. I think pretty places with character will hold their value no matter what is going on with the house prices. I cant wait to hear more about your property search!

You can't move now!! I need you every weekend, in drinking coffee with the lovely Jude! I wish you all the luck in the world with it Carol, your cottage is so beautiful and I am sure you will manage to sell it quickly. Stow is such a lovely place and cottages there do tend to still sell even when the market is difficult.I would love to live by the sea one day as well,so I can understand the attraction. if you do have regrets you'll just have to hop into Nigella and come back up here for a weekend!x

What a lovely blog! I'm happy to have found you. Edward sends hearty greetings to Guy. We shall return to visit you both!

And, are you really, really sure you want to sell that adorable cottage? I do realize the lure of the sea is hard to resist. Best to you!

Well done on the awards.

As always Guy is looking adorable.

Your cottage is truly beautiful.

Thanks for the comment on my blog, it did make me smile. You were so right, I have been cheating, the summer seems to put blogging in the background a bit.

I promise to be a better blogger but after looking at your latest posts I fear that I cannot compete.

Do you know I am torn between the country and the sea, in an ideal world we would have both wouldn't we. If I could, and I can't, I would buy your Cotswold cottage, I do love that area of the country. Good luck anyway. Congratulations on the awards, we all love to come over to your blog. x

I know your feeling of being scared about selling your place. We are planning to do the same and move into something more manageable in terms of the upkeep and yard work. It will all work out for you. Just think of it as a new adventure!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend!

Thank you, thank you, dear Carol, for this lovely award! I am really touched and feel honored that you should think of me and that you like my blog. I have been away for a week, so unfortunately I have not been able to thank you earlier. Your blog is one of my favourites, and it is always lovely to visit you here.

Moving is always a bit thrilling and a bit sad at the same time. I shall follow with interest your search for a new home and the selling of your lovely cottage. I wish you the very best of luck with both.
