Things that make me Smile ~ Part 1

A trip to the Lake District.....
and Yew Tree Cottage....
A day on the beach with Freddie...

A nicely chilled iced Lipton's Tea waiting for me in the garden after boring trip to the supermarket.
Not just a newly mown lawn....but the edges trimmed too.
Freddie's face when we say we're going out in the camper.
Being warm inside when it's blowing a gale outside. Watching Katie feed little Jude.
Tea and biscuits.

Mr N. agreeing to put up my newly painted Shaker self.
(I am not sure if it is the house that is wonky or my photography!)

Fresh cut flowers from the garden in my bedroom.
And
even silk flowers in an enamel jug!

and so much more......

Those are all lovely reasons to smile! Our wee Declan makes me smile, as do flowers, even silk ones. Yew tree cottage looks beautiful - the area just south of us was originally a farm called Yew Tree Farm - such a pretty word.

So many lovely things that make you smile! Your photo from the Lake District made me smile too, since it was a lovely reminder of our holidays there (far too many years ago, I am afraid...) I really enjoyed this post, and am already looking for Part 2 of Things that make you Smile (is this an idea for an entry I may copy in my blog too?)

Freddie is so cute and little Jude...awwwww.
I was in the Lakes District 11 years ago and it is so beautiful there. Like being on a whole different plsnet driving through those hills. One of the most amazing experiences I`ve ever had. It`s so different from Canada. Just wish it wasn`t so far away :(

I love what you`ve done to your chair!
Can`t wait to sit outside more. Here we have an enormous amount of mosquitoes...more than ever due to the long winter. Hopefully they will die down soon.

Lucky you, a trip to the Lakes and to spend it with your family and camper van! I am quite envious of your blue dotty jug find. x

lovely photos, thanks for sharing them with us.

I'm not surprised that Freddie gets excited at the thought of a trip in the camper, I would be beside myself.

I love the Lake District. The roads are very narrow for American Drivers though. Come to think about it, I think I love everything about Britain. I so hope we can return there again.
