Lakeland Puppies, Bad Hair Days and Bits and Bobs

It was supposed to be good morning, all good intentions anyway.
I was going to do so much..........did not happen.
I look out of my kitchen window and put on the kettle every morning, feed Guy ( Lakeland puppy) and George ( Choc Labrador) - Guy because he is a baby and George because he has to have two smaller meals as he is getting 'on' now.....I then try to plan my day.
Telephone rings...again!
Forget the plan and decide to go with the flow.............
These Green Bottles are one of my latest little finds.
All apart form the one next to the soap were quite cheap, only pennies, but the one next to the soap was £6.00....!!! yes I am mad......
Now this little fella was given to me by my Sister Jacqueline, or did I just take it!?!
I loved him so...I then went and married a policeman - was it a coincidence?!?
Time goes too fast.......
This was a real good find in the on-going Laura Ashley Sale!

A weekend in Broadstairs with good friends and a spot of bargain hunting resulted in this Flask.
I will use it...it is going to go with me to the allotment.

Daylesford Farm Shop.
This little wooden spotty heart came home with me !
after I had paid for it! lol
25 Years of Marriage.
My parents and my babies clubbed together to buy us these decanters.
The little table was from a lovely Pine shop in Mickleton - I had to paint it !
Farrow & Ball of course.

Kate Foreman 'Roses' again - I know.....
but they do cheer me up.
I was wondering if I should paint the gold frame ?

Little fingers love keys in key holes.
I have to take mine out before they disappear and now hang them out of reach!
These Hearts make excellent key holders....
Hard to loose them now!

Guy a few days old

Guy 10 weeks, 2 days.........

Guy is now 10 weeks and two days old.............
As I sat at my PC, merrily blogging away....I heard a little cry coming from the hall.
I tried to ignore it.....but it went on and on......
so I gave in and went to see why he was calling me.
There he was...
Four Steps Up!
and too scared to come down!
This was a first.....
Mum you know that I am not allowed on the sofa....
Dad is going to be mad with you!

Look at your hair Mum...
It must be this damp weather causing this frizz, mine is just the same.
Have a great week all...............

Lovely bits and bobs!
Guy is a darling baby - I want one just like him!
I think I might have to steal your heart key-holder idea. We are always searching for keys here - they hide in plain view, but a pretty heart would make them a little more obvious.
Lovely, restful blog....such a treat to visit

I envy you and your english springs. I imagine the lovely flowers on the sill are from your garden. Your "finds" are wonderful. Love the bottles. I had dogs for many years and when we retired we gave it up. Yours is a cutie. We got home from California just in time to see the deer had begun to attack the tulips. Sprayed with "Invisible Fence" the next morning and that should take care of it. Can't believe Easter is 10 days away. I've got 11 Easter baskets to get ready. Tomorrow will probably be devoted to that. Have a great week. Judy

Good morning! Thanks so much for visiting my blog. :) I wanted to pop back (what an adorable puppy!) to say that needle felting - it is very easy. It takes a while to punch to air out of the wool, but just keep stabbing, moulding and rolling your wool into the shape you want and that it is really! Same principal as pottery, but less messy.

Yes Lovely bit and bobs there. A great idea for keys too. I love the little shelf too, it is gorgeous. You have a very good eye .
Your baby Guy is so cute. How sweet four steps up!!. It probably seemed like a top of a mountain x

Hi Julia, I did make it and it is so simple.
Take your shade and measure your material to be wide enough for you to sew together and still slip it over the shade frame.
Leave enough material to hem both ends and have a littler gather at the top.
Sew together and then sew in the gathering tape about an inch/2cm from the top.
Draw the strings of the tape and slip over the frame. Play around with it until you get the look that you want and then knot the strings......done!

My eyes are out on stalks as usual with this post of yours... love that flask and your heart key rings.. I wish my house was as serene as yours.. it is all so beautifully co-ordinated.. yours not mine!!

Now that little Guy is just too gorgeous for his own good... he gets better looking each time I see him.. but isn't that men for you... they get better with age don't you think!?

Much love

Oh, little Guy is so sweet, you couldn't not let him on the bed could you, with that little face looking up at you! I look forward to seeing you on the allotment with your flask. x

Aww! Guy is just adorable. My sister-in-law's lab pup used to do the same (in fact we have a very similar photo). She could climb the stairs perfectly well but they were just far too mountainous to get back down again. And there she would sit, with big eyes, until she was rescued. Give Guy a big hug from me.

Cute, cute puppy and love your treasures. But I have a very important question to ask you. You left this comment on my Aunt Sandi's blog:
"I have found a brilliant cream that de-puff's eyes!
Carol x"

Okay - give! What's the brilliant cream to de-puff eyes????? I'm a desperate woman here and I'm not above begging. Share with the crowd! LOL
