Grey Days

I am staying in the kitchen and having a nice cuppa.

Got up early with all good intentions.
The house work has not been done for days, as I have been setting up my blog, so it really should be done today. Ha HA
But, as per norm, I have not done anything really and that is Fred's fault!
I was going to finish making the pale blue polka dot curtians for Nigella the campervan, put the top coat of paint on Fred's chair - see picture - but the day is almost gone and I have done nothing really.

But, I did listen to an interview on radio Kent, it was Jane Brocket talking about her new book The Gentle Art Of Demesticity.....I will order mine when the postal strike ends......but then again I do not think I can wait That Long ! so will go and buy mine tomorrow! Yippi
She has caused a bit of a stir with her book, but the less said about 'them sort' the better. Anyone who wants to read blogs of 'my type' will probably want to buy her book too.

I did however find time to show you some more of my collection though !!!!This is Sea Glass collected from a couple of pretty beaches in North Devon. I like a bit of green glass, bottles, dishes, etc.

This lovely old metal container was perfect for some other Odd bits that I found here and there, you cannot see it probably, but there is Driftwood in there as well.

Square Cushions, rectangular cushions, large Cushions and small Cushions........I love 'em. Lots and lots all over the place. Here we have a couple of Kate Forman and a Cabbages & Roses one.
Another one of my many Hearts again this is Kate Forman material and behind is a cabinatefull of my collection!!
By the way............
I asked my Son-in-Law last night, would he prefer to be married to a high flying career girl, who was going to make loads of money or a Domestic Goddess.......Oh definately a Domestic Goddess was his reply and my hubby agreed too....................
My lovey daughter Katie is a Midwife. A very special girl. A very a special Job and she can sew, bake and do lots of other craft work as well.....

Hi Carol,
Gorgeous blog! In answer to your question about my cauldron, I found it at an antiques centre in Church Stretton, Shropshire a few years ago. It took me ages to find one that I liked and could actually afford. I will visit you again if I may. Thanks for stopping by.
Take care,
Sandi

I've never seen sea glass! I would be so excited to find something like that!

I love cabbage roses - I have a chair and several pillows with them. Love your pillows on that bed!

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
You are welcome to come again at any time!

You have a beautiful blog - I'll be back.

Blessings,
Deborah
