A New Start

It has been a while since I sat here and posted.
2010....it feels a little odd typing these numbers, like it is not really 2010!
And looking out of the window I feel like am living in another time.
Our road is very quiet, so that means very icey, not so easy to get the car on or off the drive, but it looks wonderful, especially at dusk.

We wrapped up well and went for a little walk to the post box.
Jude in his pram, my two daughters and Mr N and me in my new chunky Ugg boots, great in snow for grip, big coat, hat, two scaves and mittens.
Are you like me and love to have a peep in the houses as we pass!
This is my house below.

The sun was shining on Sunday morning, a perfect winter morning for a walk on the beach.
As were got closer to the coast, the change was beginning to happen.
Driving through Whitstavble to Tankerton the skies were getting darker.
On the coastal road the sea was an amazing bright green almost luminous
and the sky a much darker green, errie!
I loved it and wanted to capture it on camera, but too late, by the time Mr N had chosen his parking spot and we had wrapped up ready to take on the bitter cold the snow was falling and the colours has changed again to this below.

Still beautiful, but the stormy greens had gone.
It was freezing, the coldest I think  I have ever known.
So our run along the beach lasted all of 8 minutes!
We ran back to the car and ate our BLT's and drank the very welcome hot coffee and set off back home.

Guy only got to wear his new Sherlock Holmes coat for a short while.

As we drove back through Whitstable the snow was really falling fast and thick.
I took this picture of a Victorian shop as we were driving through the town.
A traditional  Butcher shop, owned by my cousin Heather and her husband, famous for its sausages!

Driving home I took a few more pictures of the snow falling.
I must admit I love this weather, it makes home all the more welcoming!

2010 brings a new little one to our family who will be helping to fill my time!
We do not know what it will be, fingeres crossed though!

My lovely Katie and her tiny bump.
Bless them both.

Today my Mum is coming home from hospital.
We have the carers coming in four times a day to help.
It is not going to be easy but we are going to give it a try.

I wish you all
A Happy New Year
Full Of Love and Much Happiness.

So glad your mum is good enough to come home, my mum has her mum living withing her and used to have her mother in law too. It can be very tough at times but we wouldn't have it any other way :o)

And a new addition too, you'll be kept on your toes this year eh!

Best wishes to you all. xx

Great to see you back and a very happy New Year to you and yours. I certainly am one who likes a good nosey into other peoples homes through lit windows. I'd definately linger outside of yours - it looks lovely. Ahhhh a new baby! It already looks a perfect budle of joy in its snuggly cocoon. Good luck with your mum - I hope everything goes to plan.
