Two little girls grew up together in London.
Janice & Carol.
My Dad John, the youngest of nine and Janice's Mum one of twins,
a boy called Edward and she being called Margaret.
Here we are, I have taken charge of Janice's pram we were just about to go shopping!
Our men do not.
So off we went on the train to the Kings Road to spend the whole day.
And we did have lots of girlie fun.
First stop was Cabbages & Roses one of my most favourite of all shops.
In fact I could move into this shop and be very happy.
I love the style.
I love the displays.
Oohs and ......
The basement room is cool quiet and has a lovely atmosphere.
If only I had won the lottery.
I did buy some lovely Raspberry French Toile to make some more lamp covers with.
And a dress.

A duvet cover which I do not need but have been lusting over for too long!
See you all soon with further adventures of
Freshly laundered and now on my bed.
With the chilly nights having arrived,
I have taken off the top sheet and white cotton cellular blanket.
Taken the duvet out of the case.
So tonight I will snuggle in with the goose down!

Lovely post Carol! I wish I had someone to do 'girly' things with. You and Janice are very lucky to have each other. I have never been to Cabbages and Roses. I think I need to pay them a visit! I think autumn is definitely upon us. This week I have started getting under the duvet rather than sleeping on it as I have done all summer! x
Well, what could be more fun than a day shopping with a dear friend? I'd gladly move into that shop too - the name alone would do it!
Let's see the lampshades when they're ready.
Love love love cabbages and roses. I have the duvet cover and pillow cases on my bed, in cerise. Beautiful.
Ive got a day in London planned in early November, so any ideas are most welcome. I'll start a list!!
A gorgeous shop to mooch around and ooh and ahh in by the looks of it.

I rarely visit London, even though we live fairly near. I like your shopping trips as I get to see all the lovely boutiques in the city. Your new dress would have caught my eye too, it is really very nice. Great photo of you as a little girl. I can see the boys in you! x
I’m looking to get a dress like that for winter…it is gorgeous! Mind you I love all what you have brought.
That is all I ever say, if I win the lottery, the problem is I don’t even do it, LOL.
I love cabbages & roses! But I have never been too one of their shops…but I will be soon after seeing all those lovely pictures.

I would love to visit the shop, lucky you. They do have some lovely things but they are expensive - the dress is great too.
