Old Photos. Embroidered Hearts and Lace.

My fingers are twitching......I am waiting for that call....and not feeling too good really as I over indulged last night ! and went to bed far too late....
partying is fun but boy do we pay the price the next day.
Anyway......moving on.
This is a picture of Me! and my lovely Hub....N. 28 years ago ooopps correction - just 27 years ! I still have the dress and N. still has the suit. A couple of years ago we tried them on - for a laugh - I did JUST manage to get the zipper done up, but struggled to get the dress off again.
N. put his suit on a looked liked Norman Wisdom.....
N's arms and legs have got longer ! can you believe that!!!
And this is my daughter Katherine Louise and her new Husband...Paul James.
Baby is on its way!!!!
My Mother Helen and my sister Jacqueline.....
this picture was taken at the time of the Second World War.
Old photos are so beautiful.
Seeing some your lovely table clothes and lace, I thought I would show you one of my favorite pieces.

And embroidered hearts for everyone special to me.
This is my latest 'thing' I made 5 on Friday.

Two more....the 'C' is for me.
The plain one has not photographed well, it is a very pale pink ribbon, it looks more peach here.
I have more....
but I cannot show them as they are going to be presents.

Have a lovely peaceful Sunday all.

Oh wow I bet you are so excited. It just took me back to when I had Ella. All my friends are on their first or second baby which is making me rather broody... business is far to busy at the moment though so concentrating on that one first. Please let us know when the little one arrives. Oh and the nursery is gorgeous too. Take care, hope it all goes well.

You look very happy! 28 years, I find that really amazing my Mum & Dad celebrated there 40th last September, I cannot imagine it I have only been married 3 years this May. We have been together 14years though, so I guess were half way there.

No news on my friend yet either, I think she will be induced as she has had high blood pressure for the last couple of weeks!

It's so hard to wait for that call! I remember the excitement - and I imagine it must be doubled when it is your daughter who is expecting.
The hearts are very sweet - they'll be lovely gifts.
I also love old photos - have my parents' wedding photo on the hall wall - love to see them so young and carefree!

I've just realised you don't actually say it's your anniversary, I just assumed it was! So happy day anyway.

Katherine-- your wedding picture is beautiful. I love your dress. I also love old photo's as you can tell. I have a fun story about my wedding dress. Maybe I'll blog about it. Have a great week. Hubby has been under the weather for about 3 weeks so we are taking it easy.

Hi Carol, lovely photos, you have done well if you can still get into your wedding dress, I have gone up too many sizes to think about since my twenties. Sweet little hearts you made too, the recipients should be delighted to receive those.
Have a good week, hope you get that call soon,

Hi Carol, lovely photos and those hanging hearts are beautiful (doesn't it just take an age to embroider initials onto them?). It's nice to be back in blogland again, I have missed everyone this week!

Hi Carol, love those wedding photos..your hubby looks very 'James Bond'!!
In answer to your question about the 'stanley' dog, did you mean the one in the photo with the wooden letter S ? I have quite a few..I'm obsessed with lakeland terriers..so have been loving your updates on your little chap, anyway, that one is an old one from USA ebay, but if you are interested Steiff have bought a reproduction one out called 'fellow' based on the 1935 original(he's gorgeous and on my wish list!)just go to this page to see him;

Hi again Carol,
re. your last message, copy and paste that link onto your web address bar and it will take you to the page or just google 'steiff fellow' and you should find some! as for the cath kidston wooden stanleys, they are as rare as hens teeth! apparently they have stopped making them but whether they start again is anyones guess!
