Christmas Decorations Part Two

It is getting very busy with build up to Christmas, a little panic is setting in as I am going away for a fews days and thought that I would have finished all my Christmas preparations, apart from the very last bit of food shipping.

I did put a few more Christmas decorations out.......not very many I might add.

A red check ribbon and one of my Christmas hearts and this cabinate top is done!

Oh, and a little decoration pinned to the lampshade!

One of my favourite character's is The Snowman he is brought out every year.

Last year I bought another one........just to even things up on the mantle!

This is him! not quite as nice as the real 'Snowman' he is a Villeroy & Boch snowman!
A sweetie jar and candles with cones and cinnamon sticks.

New baubles waiting for the Christmas tree.

I hope we can go to the farm shop and choose one today!

I need Hubby's help so I have to wait until he comes home form work.

White Hyacinths in a painted white basket.

New cream lantern and as you can see form the size of my candles, they are used often!

And another new lantern.

I think this is 'another' collection just starting!
When it gets dark and the votive's and lantern's are alight the house looks quite magical.

Mantle completed!

Hellooooo - love your snowman he's gorgeous. These pix of all your Xmas decs are breaking my heart - sob sob. We have decided not to unpack them and put them up around the house - our heart isnt in Chrustmas this year. Have bought some sloppy dvd's off ebay and we will batten down the hatches and put our feet up - I have deliberately not packed four books so I can read them and kept out a tapestry to finish. I was going to work through the hols but as I have lots of leave saved I am staying off. Did you read my blog and see that someone in the middle hadnt even sorted out their mortgage either. How thick are people!!

Hi Carol, I know panic always sets in with me as well. I have only a few words to say about your taste in decorations, I want them all! You have made a lovely job of decorating your home for Christmas, I really do hope to be making a start on mine this weekend. x

Some wonderful photos and camera shots Carole. Your home looks like it should be in a weekend colour supplement - you have such taste.

I love the white theme you have going - so pretty yet festive. I'm going to get the long suffering husband to do the annual trek up to the loft to get all the decorations down this weekend .

Morning Carol :) Know what you mean about panic setting in, it set in here already! lol Your decor is all so very beautiful, we adore snowmen too (bought some V&B snowmen on the post-Chritams sales last year :) and your wreath at the door is really lovely. It's so nice to put some Christmas music on and open up all the boxes, takes a while dosen't it but sure worth it. Have to wait for hubby to come home tonight to put the lights up outside, serious case of vertigo!! I (Jenn) can't even climb a ladder! Carol we can't wait until Monday, our real tree is being delivered and it's the first time since Jacqui was 2 that we have had a real tree, she's 217 now! Can't wait to take in the pine aroma!! Have a nice time away :) Take care, Jenn and Jacqui x

Take a deep breath, Carol! Everything looks stunningly beautiful and I'm sure that there's no reason to panic. It's just one of those days - and there's 15 more of them before the holidays, each one better than the next :-)

Take care!

I still haven't put my decorations up yet, I intend to today! I love The Snowman and love the animation, infact I love everything Raymond Briggs, I am so pleased they repeat these every year on the TV at Christmas time, they are magical. Doesn't cream enamel look lovely alongside red gingham and I love hyacinths in baskets. I hope you managed to get to the farm shop for your tree, I afraid I have given up on real trees however much I love them, I am quite attached to my artificial one these days! x
